Dental Health

Children's program

Preventative dental care to children in school and the community through various community-based programs. Services are provided by a licensed dental hygienist using portable dental equipment.

 

  1. Oral screening
  2. Cleaning and fluoride treatment
  3. Dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
  4. Brushing and flossing instruction
  5. Tooth care kit
  6. Dietary advice
  7. Fluoride rinse program
  8. Referral to a dentist for dental care


Costs

There are no costs for children participating in the Maryland Children´s Health Program. For children with no dental insurance, fees for services are determined on a sliding fee scale based on family income.

No child will be denied services because of a family´s inability to pay.
