This program gives free and low cost health care to children and pregnant women in families with low to average incomes.
What medical services are covered ?
Doctor visits, hospital care, dental care, vision, prescription medications, transportation to medical appointments (if you do not have any other means of transportation).
What are the Requirements ?
Maryland resident and family income less than approximately:
- $30,260 for a family of two
- $38,180 for a family of three
- $46,100 for a family of four
- $54,020 for a family of five
How do I apply ?
Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP) applications are available at the Kent County Health Department, local doctors' offices, businesses and government offices and on-line

Health insurance for children under the age of 19 if eligible
with a monthly premium.
What are the Requirements ?
Maryland resident and family income less than approximately:
- $45,390 for a family of two
- $57,270 for a family of three
- $69,150 for a family of four
- $81,030 for a family of five
How do I apply ?
Complete a Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP) application. Applications are available at the Kent County Health Department, local doctors' offices, businesses and government offices.

- $22,145 for a family of three
- $26,738 for a family of four
